Busy, nice coffee, good views.

For a small market town meusem it's rather good. Nice sunny garden at the top of Gold Hill. Church bells to hit with with a hammer and the old fashioned typewriter amuses the children.

Amazing surprise especially if you haven't been to Shaftesbury lately. It's well worth spending time there and having a coffee or meal in one of the restaurants.

Warm friendly staff good. Exhibits of past times set in a lovely area

Quirky small museum with much more on show than you would think at first glance. Nicely thought out exhibits which importantly are presented in a way that is accessible for younger visitors too.Found the museum during a chance journey break at Shaftesbury, taking a wander down and up Gold Hill. Free entry, but I hope you'll feel as I did that a decent donation on the way out us more than justified.
